When you dream of the beach this summer, does every sound you hear, from seagulls cawing and waves breaking to fog horns warning, seem to be mocking the hair your bikini doesn’t cover? Are the minnows darting in the shallows scurrying from hairy legs? Do dolphins leap by taunting you with their smooth skin?

Surely, better ways to imagine beach time are plentiful, but if your visions are shadowed by the thought of all the shaving it takes to relax in the sun without feeling self-conscious, now is the time to get started on laser hair removal.

Laser Hair Removal – The Ultimate Time-Saver

Laser hair removal is a process that gives you more carefree summer time away from the beach too. Statistics published by Statistic Brain Research Institute (yes, they’ve researched shaving statistics) suggest that women on average will shave 7,718 times over their lifetime, with each shave requiring almost 11 minutes. That approaches almost 85,000 minutes or nearly 1,415 hours!

Sure, that spreads out over a lifetime, but why not make the most of every summer minute you have? As we look ahead to more leisurely months ahead, here are some ideas for ways to enjoy that time you would have spent shaving or waxing.

Awesome Beaches

So, what is YOUR idea of a perfect beach? Do you like to aim for the most popular, or do you like locations that are mostly undiscovered?

If you want to experience some of the more well-known locations, Today and The Travel Channel are just a couple of sources that name a lot of locations in Florida, California and Hawaii. Clearwater Beach in Florida gets recognition from both.

If you’re looking for locations that may not be as heavily visited, check out Fodor’s for “under-the-radar” beaches.

Great Reads

Lazy days at the beach just beg for good books. Several years ago, the Stieg Larsson series about the “girl with the dragon tattoo” made for a summer of good beach reading.

Recommendations for 2018 summer reading are plentiful. Elle magazine is one source, with a recommended list of 32 books featuring a diverse group of authors and topics. We must admit, the description for Can You Tolerate This? by Ashleigh Young caught our eye:

“A boy with two skeletons. A girl’s moustache. A Japanese woman building a path from the cave where she lived to the sea. These are just some of the little nuggets around which New Zealand writer has constructed her debut collection of essays.”

“A girl’s moustache?”! We have to look into helping that girl with laser hair removal!

The Active Beach

Of course, the beach offers more than sunbathing and reading. From The Travel Channel, again, is another list; this one features twelve great beach activities.

We’re surprised they don’t list Paddleboard Yoga; that takes balance to a whole new level!

No Doubt – It’s Time to Lose the Unwanted Hair!

Laser hair removal procedures are quick, and results are long-lasting.

Reclaim as many of those 1,415 hours as you can! When the beach – and life – has so much time to offer, why lose time to shaving or other time-consuming methods of hair removal?
